One Shot

One Shot helps you accomplish practical tasks one at a time. Just describe what you need, and the assistant can research online, generate images, convert speech, or work with office documents. It runs on your computer and uses the AI providers you already set up in AppJuice.

What you can do

  • Search the web for current information
  • Create images from descriptions
  • Transcribe audio files into text
  • Have text read aloud
  • Edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files
  • Automate web tasks in your browser
  • Control your desktop apps (requires extra permissions)

AI and local access

AI processing happens through the providers and keys you’ve already added to AppJuice. The app itself runs entirely on your computer. It will ask for your permission before accessing any files, folders, or sensitive actions like desktop control.

Safety and privacy

One Shot does not collect or share your data beyond what’s needed for the AI calls you make and for web searches. Desktop automation requires macOS Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions, and the assistant will only act after you approve each sensitive step.

Good to know

  • Requires AppJuice and a configured AI provider
  • Press Cmd/Ctrl+J to jump to the input field and Cmd/Ctrl+N to start a new session
  • Desktop automation uses the Peekaboo skill and needs extra macOS permissions
  • The app is optimized for one task at a time—just describe what you want done
